Gladys E. Mummert, 92, of Mount Carroll, died Thursday in Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

The funeral will be 2:30 PM Monday in Frank Law Jones Funeral Home, Mount Carroll with the Rev. David Boda-Mercer of Community United Church of Christ, Savanna, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until the service hour Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 10, 1906 in Freedom Twsp., Carroll County, IL to August and Caroline Fehler Brudi. She married Edward Kloepping, Jan 2, 1930. He died June 28, 1966. She later married Glenn D. Mummert, May 8, 1976. He died Nov 7, 1981.

She had worked with S.J. Campbell, farmed with her husband in rural Mt. Carroll and worked with Vera Aubrey in her restaurant.

She was a member of the Freedom Township Home Extension and the Carroll County Home Extension.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Marion (Harlan) Carbaugh of Lanark, IL; a stepson, Glenn S. Mummert of Darlington, WI and a niece and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.
