DIED--Neptune Serphene Phillips, after a few days illness, died yesterday evening at 5:15. Neptune was born on the Atlantic ocean on the good ship "Marie Carolina Clark" in 1852. He lived in Erie and Huron counties, Ohio, until about 1874 when he came to Mt. Carroll, where he has lived ever since. Nap was 42 years old and had many friends in this community who extend their sympathy to his family and relatives. The funeral will take place at the house at 10:30 a. m. on Wednesday, remains to be taken to Shannon for interrment.
