Carroll County - Obits - Alice (Keeley) Mummert

Died: Mar 23, 1984

Alice S. Mummert, 84, of Oak Glenn Nursing Home, Coal Valley, IL formerly of East Moline, IL died Friday in Lutheran Hospital, Moline.

The funeral will be at 1:30 PM Monday in Clinton Memorial Chapel of Clinton Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Paul O. Pfaltzgraff of First United Methodist. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Sunday.

She was born Feb 18, 1900 in Maquoketa, to Seneca F. and Mary Kelchner Keeley. She married Ralph R. Mummert on Feb 22, 1927 in Mt. Carroll. He died in 1976. She received her education in Clinton schools and lived in the Clinton are most of her life. She moved to Savanna in 1964 and later to East Moline in 1976. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joan Counsins of East Moline, two granddaughters, Linda Gatewood-Glover and Barbara Cousins, three great grandchildren, David Cousins, Angela Spinner and Tifany Gatewood; four sisters, Emma Broaderick, Sybil Limaker and Mrs. Orville (Laura) Young all of Clinton, and Mrs. O. D. (Zella) Thomsen of Baldwin, SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and two sisters.
